You can mold them into the pet you\u2019ve always wanted, but it does take time, commitment, and straight-up consistency. Your pet probably doesn\u2019t realize or understand that whatever they\u2019re doing is \u201cwrong,\u201d but they do get that you\u2019re displeased with them.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, there\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beverlyhillsvets.com\/blog\/dogs-behavior\/\">always room for improvement<\/a>; please do not punish your pet. Giving your pet the skills to navigate social encounters will keep unwanted anxiety or stress at bay.<\/p>\n<p>Basic obedience training will help you communicate effectively with your pet. Dogs should know the basics, such as sit, stay, come, heel, and lay down. Before you move on to more advanced obedience training, the fundamentals need to be mastered.<\/p>\n<h3>Other Tips<\/h3>\n<p>Crate training and housebreaking can have their ups and downs, but they\u2019re vital to health and wellbeing (and your sanity!).
